Our Story
Blue Vineyard Audio, a division of Blue Vineyard, was founded in March 2024 by Kahn Ellmers, an experienced audio engineer with a passion for empowering the Adventist community through exceptional audio experiences. The inception of Blue Vineyard Audio was driven by the need for specialized podcast production services tailored to the unique needs of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) community.
Kahn’s journey into podcast production was deeply personal and spiritually guided. He became a Christian while studying Audio Engineering and Music Production at MAINZ in Auckland, New Zealand back in 2013. He decided to drop audio production, instead choosing to get a trade cert in Carpentry.
After earning a degree in Pastoral Evangelism from Hartland College, Kahn served as a missionary in Zimbabwe for four years, where he met his wife. The couple settled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in January 2024. Due to work permit restrictions in Malaysia, Kahn shifted his focus from traditional pastoral roles to audio engineering, establishing Blue Vineyard Audio from his home studio.
The idea for Blue Vineyard Audio emerged after a series of providential events led Kahn to collaborate with Luke, the co-founder of Blue Vineyard.
While serving in Africa, Kahn had been co-producing a podcast with Shanna Duke (Co-founder of Blue Vineyard). After marrying his lovely wife, Kahn started a freelance business called Bridgepoint Audio. His vision was to provide high quality audio services for Seventh Day Adventist ministries. He reached out to Shanna and Luke to get some feedback. Luke saw the potential in Kahn’s vision and partnered with him to create a dedicated podcast production service for the Adventist Digital ecosystem.
